CHAPTER V

 

OF DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE

 

101. Certified copies of documents thirty years old. The provisions of Article 100 shall apply to such copy of a document referred to the that Article. as is certified in the manner provided in Article 87 an is not less than thirty years old; and such certified copy may be. produced in proof of the contents of the documents or part of the document of which it purports to be a copy. .

OF THE EXCLUSION OF ORAL BY DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE

 

. 104. Exclusion of evidence against application of document to existing facts. When language used in a document is plain in itself, and when it applied accurately to existing facts, evidence may not be given to

 

show that it was not meant to apply to such facts.

 

A sells to B, by deed, "my estate at Rangpur containing 100 big has". A has an estate at Rangpur containing 100 big has. Evidence may not be given of the fact that the estate meant to be sold was one situated at a difference place and of a different size.
